Step 1
Heat filtered water to 205 degrees. This can be done by bringing it to a boil and removing it from heat for 30 seconds.Step 2
Measure 2 rounded tablespoons of whole bean coffee for every 6 ounces of water used in brewing.Step 3
Grind the coffee to a medium-coarse size. These should be large enough to identify individual grounds but small enough to stick together when pinched.Step 4
Place a paper filter into the top of your pour-over.Step 5
Pour hot water over the filter to remove paper flavor and warm your mug or carafe. Discard rinse water.Step 6
Add freshly ground coffee into the filter.Step 7
Slowly pour enough water to cover the grounds, start in the center and work outwards, pouring in a circular pattern. Wait 30 seconds for the coffee to absorb and expand before adding any additional water.Step 8
Continue slowly pouring water into the grounds using the same circular motion. Maintain a slow but steady pace adding water every 15-20 seconds to ensure that the water level is consistent throughout the process.Step 9
Pour until your mug or carafe is full, about 350 grams.Step 10
After fully draining, remove your pour-over, discard your filter, and enjoy.Get Fresh Coffee
